Synopsis
Put your headphones on and spend a Sunday working bee in Barkers Creek. In this podcast audio producer and group member Kyla Brettle she traces the impact of the 1850s Victorian gold rush on the 30 year story of the Barkers Creek Landcare & Wildlife Group. Through speaking with Landcarers past and present, a local ecologist and a Djaara elder, Kyla unearths a broader story about increasing community concern for the declining health of the natural environment and the development of not just the the tools, techniques, networks and partnerships - but the will needed to fix it.
Find out if this small community landcare group can help heal past wounds and increase the resilience of their local landscape to climate stressors of the future.
